A trust which benefits communities within North Yorkshire, Teesside and Cumbria.
About the Trust
Since the mid 1960’s Derek and Jean Noble have enjoyed successful careers in North Yorkshire: experiencing both friendship and kindness. In 1981, they co-founded Noble Fuels and continued to receive huge co-operation and business support from the people of North Yorkshire and Teesside. This motivated the family’s strong desire to give back to the area by supporting local communities and charities in an attempt to make a difference.
In addition to their business lives the Noble family members are committed to, and are actively involved in, fundraising for a variety of charities.
It is, therefore, very appropriate that the Noble Charitable Trust was formed in order to provide a formal structure for donating to worthy causes in the designated areas of North Yorkshire, Teesside and Cumbria.

Vision 25
We have been associated with and supported Vision 25 over a number of years and are extremely impressed by their dedication to encouraging young adults to live independently within the community.
Vision 25 aims to promote independence through developing their ‘skills for life’ programme for young adults to participate in work experience and volunteering to achieve valuable work skills and integrate into society.
It has been exciting to watch the charity grow from small beginnings and to move to larger premises. They are now able to offer more life skill training for over 17 year olds who would not otherwise have access to such facilities.

Ryedale Special Families
Ryedale Special Families has been supporting families of children and young adults with disabilities, additional needs and illness throughout Ryedale and North Yorkshire, for over 25 years.
A diverse range of services, to meet individual families’ needs, is covered by the by four areas of work, which are: Information, advice and guidance, social groups, 1 to 1 flexible care and family activities.
The model they have developed has been of considerable interest to other parent groups across North Yorkshire, who wish to support families in their area.
Our Trust donation enabled 20 families to enjoy a full day of varying activities at Peat Rigg Outdoor Education Centre near Pickering.

Growing Well
Growing Well is a mental health charity, an organic farm and a training centre where good mental health is cultivated alongside great organic produce.
The charity works with adults in Cumbria and North Lancashire who are experiencing mental ill health. Individuals attend the service on one day per week and the usual length of stay is between six months and two years.
No one journey through Growing Well is the same and a wide variety of activities are offered. The training and support is bespoke to each individual. It is a volunteer-led journey of informed choice, where individuals set the terms for their own recovery.

Mountain Rescue
We have supported four of the Mountain Rescue teams within the geographical area covered by our Trust because they provide such an invaluable service every day of the year.
The highly skilled and trained teams are all volunteers and depend entirely on donations to undertake their, difficult rural missions, using ever increasingly sophisticated equipment.
We have helped the teams to purchase new vehicles, satellite tracking systems and equipment for new mobile control centres.
